I have a new release at Digital Scrapbook called Charlotte’s Farm. This one is certainly near & dear to me as it is inspired by my great grandmother. I used to sit and visit my great grandmother Charlotte, known to us as Nana, when I was a youngster. She was born 1904. Sometimes we played Go Fish or Old Maid, but mostly we just sat and chatted. I loved listening to her talk and she would often speak of her days on the farm. She grew up in Massachusetts and I know she rode horses into town when she was a kid but she really loved to talk about the days her husband went hunting and fishing and she would cook for the hunting lodge he was part of, as well as her days of being on the farm raising her family. They moved to Maine sometime in the 1950’s. I recently learned from looking at the 1950 census that they lived on Farmers Hill Road in Andover – how appropriate. My great grandfather had been a laborer all the time in Massachusetts according to the censuses, but in 1950 he was listed as a farmer.

I wish I could remember every detail of our conversations starting when I was around 11 years old. I know she had a larger impact on who I am than I ever realized as a child or young adult. Most of us have had someone in our lives who loved to tell their stories. Capturing those stories is really so important as time marches on and memories fade.

And here is a photo of my great grandmother Charlotte (she is petting her & and her husband’s dog Sam) along with her mother, Hattie Douglass (nee Burrell), who is seated.

Hopefully, you will be able to capture some of those stories of your own with this new bundle. I have a limited time mini freebie as well as a bonus paper pack for you which coordinates with Charlotte’s Farm.

Freebies

For a limited time you can download this coordinating mini kit for free. It will be available thru September 30th. After that you will only be able to find this on Digital Scrapbook.

Sorry this link has expired. You can find the mini here at Digital Scrapbook.

I also have this bonus pack of papers for you. This will be exclusively only available on my blog here.

New Release at Digital Scrapbook

Charlotte’s Farm was inspired by the stories my great grandmother told of her days living on a farm. She always attributed her excellent health and strong bones to her farm days which included all that wonderful milk straight from the cow to the table. This Victorian inspired bundle contains 220 elements, stickers, clusters, journal cards and papers and is especially wonderful for all your heritage projects. But it is also versatile enough for whether you have visited a local orchard, gone berry picking or enjoyed the farm animals at the petting zoo. Not to mention it’s perfect for capturing those late summer days which are quickly settling into the lovely Autumn season.
