I really appreciate your coming here to the Curio Pantry blog!

So there is a little story behind the name Curio Pantry. We used to live in an old farmhouse in Kentucky down by a creek. It had the most awesome pantry that stayed cool no matter the weather, thanks to the old plaster walls and being in the center of the house. One time, I found half an old, green painted, wooden peg clothespin under the baseboard in that pantry. That connection is how the name was born. Those little unusual and old knickknacks, coupled with my love of a good old fashioned pantry!

About My Designs & Content

As of January 2026 I no longer create using any AI in my creations, bundles, kits, or freebies. It certainly can be tougher to do this since so many resources now are AI generated. But I’m determined to be 100% me – 100% human. That means I hand draw, hand create, and use resources prior to the debut of AI as best as I can determine.

I also do not use any AI chat programs to create any of my content, or at all for that matter. I compose directly from my own head and heart and try to breathe life into the words I write, so there is meaning and understanding within them. If I fail at any point with that, then I guess, that’s just part of being human lol. I’m okay with that. I’ve taught my children over the past 25 years how to read & write. I’ve seen them blossom under the Good & Beautiful curriculum, and become advanced readers and writers! There was never any AI involved. Even I became a stronger writer thru teaching my children. Just like human proofreading has become near obsolete thru the “spell check” tool, I feel, AI is going to dull our abilities to comprehend and write advanced material. I don’t want to be a part of that, so I get a lot of practice when writing my own content.

I would love to share more about me, but with the AI bots and agents running around scraping information on people and creating half delusional profiles these days, I’m afraid I would rather not. If there is something you want to know just get in touch!
