In my childhood you could look up into the night sky and it was basically free of the barrage of satellites. I remember my Dad – an amateur astronomer really – would pull out the lawn chairs and telescope to look at the moon, or watch a meteor shower. I never realized how one day that unsullied sky would become a thing of the past.

Though those days are just a memory now, I still enjoy time spent around a fire, looking up at the night sky hoping to catch sight of a shooting star. (I am always looking up for them!) This bundle, Under the Night Sky, is wonderful for those summer days spent around the campfire or just outside enjoying the cooler night air, watching a meteor shower, or star gazing. And I think roasting marshmallows, especially homemade ones, can help make the world, or at least the summer, seem a little sweeter. What do you enjoy on those summer days?

  4. Thank you so much for the beautiful kit and cluster, Jessica! I also remember the skies from my childhood. The night sky was full of stars, so many stars, and you could sometimes see the Milky Way. Meteor showers were visible too. Now I live near a large city and with all the light pollution we can only see the moon and a planet or two, occasionally a star.

    1. You are very welcome Phyllis! Light pollution is such a problem even for astronomers since satellites also add to light pollution! Thank you so much for stopping by & sharing your thoughtful comment! ♥

  6. Wonderful kit description and post, Jess. You have such a way with words. I had never even heard of homemade marshmallows until Food TV came around. LOL I still have yet to make any or even sample them. I bet they are the best! Thanks for your lovely gifts.

    1. You’re welcome & I really appreciate it Tricia! ♥ I’ve always struggled with words & descriptions myself. It’s something I have worked on for years. And if you ever can make some they really are the worth it! My husband has never liked store bought marshmallows but he could not get enough of the homemade ones. This is the one I have used with success – Homemade Marshmallows. I use all organic ingredients & a grass fed beef gelatin to make them healthier – tho in the future I plan to get a grass finished gelatin once I finish this bottle. The batch I made in February we used in hot cocoa & that the was the best hot cocoa ever.
