I never understood the appeal of donuts and coffee but then one day I dipped a powdered sugar cake donut into a small bowl of coffee and realized what it was all about. We rarely buy packaged foods now, but we still occasionally make donuts from scratch. The apple cider donuts my husband made for us last fall, dipped in coffee were equally delicious!
